If you’re like most of Americans, you’re hooked on ABC’s adventure show Lost, which just wrapped up its third season. The show, chronicling the lives of plane crash survivors on a tropical island, is one of very few that I can say my future mother-in-law, best friend, and thirteen-year-old cousin are all obsessed with. Each episode promises thrills, but, this season, one featured something extra special: Golden Cockerel’s very own Rooster Girl nesting doll! The script called for a character to smuggle diamonds inside a Russian matryoshka, and our nesting doll was the one chosen for the job! It was so exciting to see a replica of the very first matryoshka doll appear on such a popular television show, combining the old world with the new. Hopefully, this trend will continue, because we could all use a little taste of the past every now and then.
