This Lomonosov porcelain Biscuit Bust is of Czar Peter the Great, also known as Peter I or Peter the Great Tzar of Russia. Peter I is credited with modernizing Russia and bringing recognition to the country in the early 1700s. Made by the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in St. Petersburg, the biscuit porcelain is white and soft to the touch unlike hard glazed traditional porcelain. An excellent gift for folks interested in Peter the Great biography, Russian history buffs, or collectors of historical porcelain.
