Он более строгий, чем у семеновской или полхов-майданской матрешки, у него свои характерные цвета и свой неповторимый стиль. Эти матрешки всегда в сарафанах, кофточка на них с вышивкой, поверх сарафана всегда фартук, а на голове платок. Сейчас загорские матрешки почти не производят, потому что там почти не осталось независимых художников, которые раньше занимались этим делом.
