Vintage Blue Lace "Gzhel" Art Doll 20pc./10"

Done in the style of traditional Russian "Gzhel" ceramics, this large blue and white nesting doll is undeniably a feat of artistry. The hand-painted details and gold leaf embellishments make each doll a unique work of art. Each doll is signed. The matte finish shows age, however the colors remain bright. As these are hand-painted items, the dolls are all unique and variations from one to the next in shape, style, and condition are to be expected (see photos for examples).
