The Peddler and his Box of Samples

Here's a box radiant with the colors of autumn. Measuring 3.5" x 5.5" x 1.5" it depicts a familiar countryside scene. A traveling salesman has stopped a wishful lass along the road and is showing her the many beauties in his box. If only she had the money for all of them! While not a masterpiece belonging in a museum, this box would delight a young maiden just as winsome and dreamy as the one depicted on it. Painted in Kholui, titled, and initialed by the artist.
