Winter Morning on the River Box

Artist A. Romashina captures a chilly winter morning with her landscape of this river in ice.  Anchoring the scene is a circle of inlaid mother of pearl radiating fiery iridescent color like prismatic ice crystals.  To further enhance the mood, the box background color is not the typical black, but rather a marbled blue-green.  Beautiful gold scroll works its way around the edge of the box, which was painted in Fedoskino and is dated 2001.  On the bottom of the box you'll find a slight imperfection in the lacquer, a crack less than 1" in length.  For this reason alone (as the box is otherwise a beautiful collector's item) it is heavily discounted, making it a great buy.  Set in out on display, and no one will ever see the minor flaw.  4.75" x 3" x 1.5"
