This exquisite doll illustrates Pushkin's Tale of the Golden Cockerel. The work on front and back of the doll is as magnificent as Pushkin's tale, with gold-trimmed flowers blooming all over the doll. Excellent handwork! Alas, this masterpiece has a very minor flaw. It appears a very slight drip of red paint landed near the rooster's head on the largest doll (you can see it in the photo); it almost looks like a feather, or part of the scene. Nevertheless, we are discounting this excellent find for that reason.
