This lovely doll by E. Kuzevanova celebrates the distinctly Russian holiday of Maslenitsa, or Russian pancake week.  It occurs near the end of the winter at the beginning of spring, and is something of a winter festival celebrating the return of the sun.  Enjoy the romantic scenes of Maslenitsa on each doll, as well as fine gold foil work, glittery accents, and Russian feel.  Hand painted in Suzdal.
